Norfolk Trip - Days 3 and 4

Another couple of pictures from my Norfolk trip. Unfortunately on days 3 and 4, after some brief morning sunlight, it was 2 days of constant rain!!

Norfolk Trip - Day 2

A few photos from day 2 of my Norfolk trip. I say few, as the sun came out for 1/2 hour in the morning and was then followed by a day of rain!!

Norfolk Trip - Day 1

Just got back from a superb week away in Norfolk. Even got a couple of days when the sun shone briefly!! But regardless, it was just nice to relax away from work!! The following photos were from day 1 of my trip. The first thing I saw was a Marsh Harrier. The photo is quite ironic, the ducks reaction of 'running in the other direction' must be something that the Marsh Harrier is used to!!

It would not be a trip to Norfolk without a few Barn Owl photos:

Finally the waders. First the Spotted Redshank, a bird I rarely see where I live:

Then the other waders (Dunlin, Bar Tailed Godwit, Black Tailed Godwit, Ringed Plover and Turnstone):

All in all, not a bad start to the trip!! More to come....

Morning At The Coast

Made a very quick trip out this morning. Weather and light were awful, but just had an itch and had to scratch it!! I headed to the coast to try and catch up with some stonechat. Can across a couple of turnstones first, before finding any stonechat. You can tell how bad the light was, I had to shoot all of these images at ISO 1600. I'm glad I know about exposing to the right!!

Spotted this yesterday when driving along. It was amongst a flock of Canada geese, a swan goose apparently!!
